Severely Retracted Eardrum With Retraction Pocket Formation and Erosion of the Long Arm of the Incus

The above picture shows a very thin or atelectatic eardrum (tympanic membrane) which is draped over the promontory and round window nitch.   It is also draped over the stapes and stapedial tendon and forming a deep posterior-superior retraction Pocket.  Mouse Over to Label Picture
