| A
large scalp rotation advancement flap is created. The scalp has very
little stretch and thus a large flap is required. This flap is
elongated more than normal because of the poor blood supply to the skin. |
A back-cut was
also done at the end of the flap to increase the reach of the flap.
This has to be done carefully since if a back-cut is too large the
vascularity of the flap may be compromised. A drain is placed
through the back-cut defect. |
