The patient is a 45 year old, who developed a benign pituitary tumor.  The tumor was removed by a sublabial ( below the upper lip ) transseptal ( through the nasal septum ), transsphenoidal (through the sphenoid sinus ).  The patient had an uneventful post-operative result with only a small amount of numbness in her upper gums.
